Lea Katherine Thompson ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin, Sängerin, Tänzerin und Regisseurin.
Bekannt wurde sie vor allem durch ihre Rollen als Lorraine Baines-McFly in der „Zurück in die Zukunft“-Trilogie (1985–1990), Beverly Switzler in „Howard the Duck“ (1986) und Amanda Jones in „Ein seltsames Ding“ (1987). Zu ihren weiteren Filmen zählen „All the Right Moves“ (1983), „Die rote Flut“ (1984), „Dennis“ (1993) und „The Beverly Hillbillies“ (1993). In den 1990er-Jahren spielte sie die Hauptrolle in der Sitcom „Caroline in the City“. Von 2011 bis 2017 war sie als Kathryn Kennish in der Serie „Switched at Birth“ zu sehen.
